ABSTRACT
Polymeric materials are considered in the context of the human environment. The impact of plastics on human health is characterized. The problem of the ecological purity of packaging materials is posed. The methods of studying the harmful effects of polymers on human health are listed. The use of polymers in medicine and animal husbandry is touched upon.
