ABSTRACT

The logistic equation to describe the processes of globalization is considered. The problem of the spread of diseases is considered. The models of population growth are listed. A phenomenological model of the Earth’s population growth is analyzed. The problems of urbanization and migration are considered.

In the analysis of the models of global processes, special attention should be paid to the models based on the equations of logistic type. The logistic behavior is typical for many processes in animate nature and human society; it provides both qualitative and quantitative agreement with the known statistics of global human development.

This chapter provides a number of specific examples of the application of the logistic equation.
