ABSTRACT

We describe the service identification (ID) that represents services that cannot be standardized directly for the public Internet at large. We explain the creation of service IDs using some canonical forms based on some hints of services that can be obtained indirectly knowing the user-level service-agnostic Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling messages. In this connection, we explain the service Uniform Resource Names, asserted-services, and preferred-service IDs that can privately be used for identification of services over the SIP network. In addition, the served-user IDs that are used for handling of services are articulated.
