ABSTRACT
The problem of natural convection from a wavy vertical heated surface to viscous fluids (without the presence of a porous medium) has received relatively less attention (Yao, 1983; Bhavnani and Bergles, 1991; Moulic and Yao, 1989a,b; Kishinami et al., 1990; Kim and Chen, 1991; Patel et al., 1991; Hossain and Rees, 1999; Jang et al., 2003; Jang and Yan, 2004) in comparison with the classical problem of the smooth flat vertical plate, as can be seen from the various review articles and books (Miles, 1957; Bird et al., 1960; Ostrach, 1952, 1972, 1982; Jaluria, 1980; Kakac¸ et al., 1987; Shenoy, 1986; Gebhart et al., 1988; Oosthuizen and Naylov, 1996; Pop and Ingham, 2001; Martynenko and Khramtsov, 2005; White, 2006; Leal, 2007; Andreev et al., 2011; Radko, 2013).
