ABSTRACT
In chapter 4, we described the important role of surface phenomena in, it would appear, the well-examined process such as the deformation of glassy polymers. The present chapter is concerned with the analysis of another aspect of the structural–mechanical behaviour of polymers of general nature – strain softening of glassy and crystalline polymers.
