Tenodera capitata China: This species is considered edible (Mao 1997). Japan: The Japanese name is ō-kamakiri. The roasted adults were used for treating tuberculosis and other diseases (Miyake 1919). North Korea: The adults are pulverized after roasting, and used for treating hernia, constipation, lumbago, etc. in North P’yongan, North Hamgyong (Okamoto and Muramatsu 1922). South Korea: The adults are pulverized after roasting, and used for treating hernia, constipation, lumbago, etc. in North Hamgyong, South Gyeongsang, South Joella, Gyeonggi, Kangwon and South Chungcheong (Okamoto and Muramatsu 1922).
