ABSTRACT
Theretra oldenlandiae (hawk moths) China: In olden times this species was used to enhance potency (Li 1596). Japan: The Japanese name is sesujisuzume. The adults are fried with oil in the Nagano Prefecture (Takagi 1929g). The larvae are used for treating convulsive fi ts in children, digestive disorders, tuberculosis, etc. (Watanabe 1982).
