ABSTRACT

The need for a reliable energy source is required for running our daily needs, whether it is transportation, communication, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or food-processing industries. Worldwide, all nations rely on fossil fuels, that is, coal, oil, and natural gas, for their energy; such types of sources of energy are finite and will be depleted eventually as per their consumption rate. Simultaneously, these resources are going to become too expensive, nevertheless producing many greenhouse gasses, which are the major reason for global warming issues. In contrast, the many types of renewable energy resources (RES) such as solar energy, wind energy, biomass, biogas, biofuels, hydro energy, geothermal energy, and so on are constantly replenished and will never run out. RES plays a vital role in the economic growth, progress, and sustainable development (SD), as well as poverty eradication and security of any nation. Nowadays, SD has become a key issue for the development in the twenty-first century.
