ABSTRACT
The transportation industry discussed in this chapter includes four different modes: air, rail, water, and road. The material on each mode provides only a brief overview. The different modes often work together to transport a single good or person. Only domestic transportation for these four modes is discussed here, although the transportation industry is global and the impacts are not conned to national borders.
