ABSTRACT

Introduction We often hear the expression “change is the new normal.” Business strategists advice their clients to encourage and push change within, and be adaptable to embrace change from outside the organization. Countless authors describe a world where old paradigms are being replaced by new ones. Brick and mortar business are replaced by online enterprises. Traditional practices that focused on stable, predictable patterns are replaced by dynamic, flexible, and unpredictable ones. Business disruption is the new buzz word and a sense of navigating in unchartered waters appears to describe the state of affairs.
