ABSTRACT
This chapter presents project that aims to create a DesignBuilder model of a small office building. The office is located in Jaipur, India, which is climate Zone 1A: Hot and Dry, as defined by ASHRAE 90.1-2010. This project helps to model a small office and analyse the key results of a whole building energy simulation. The building is a small office with three floors. For creating any energy simulation model, it is important to have all floor plans. The chapter provides overview of the building and the temperatures range (in degree Celsius) and Psychrometric chart for Jaipur climate, generated using Climate Consultant. The building is cooled and heated by a ducted variable refrigerant volume (VRV) system. The chapter outlines details of activity, equipment and lighting loads in each room and details of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
