ABSTRACT

Context refers to the spatial, temporal, and situational dimensions that influence the state of affairs. It is the combination of all circumstances at a given time and place. It encompasses a wide range of variables, including national values and project culture, as well as the global, regional, national, and local realities of the time. As such, context is essential to define what is to be considered and interpreted, as it has biasing effects for some senses. Sherron Watkins said that “the context you’re in can be a powerful influence on whether you view something to be right or wrong” (Beenen & Pinto, 2009, p. 280).
