ABSTRACT
Lean is a compilation of several diverse methods and tools that provide a more holistic and integrated toolkit for process improvement. These same tools can be applied for designing and developing products and services. As new products and services become increasingly complex and multifaceted, it is necessary to more tightly couple and integrate the entire service and product development process with Lean. A comprehensive methodology is necessary utilizing Lean techniques to design a product (application), process, or service right the first time.
