ABSTRACT

In most organizations in order to get the necessary buy-in on the requirement for any business initiative, it is crucial that a sound business case can be made to justify the required investment in both time and money. The corporate defense initiative is of course no different in this regard. Fundamentally, a sound business case should clearly outline how the corporate defense initiative can help the organization in the achievement of its objectives. The extent to which a clear and convincing case can be presented on behalf of corporate defense will help determine the organization’s attitude to corporate defense and will help to set the corporate defense agenda within the organization. This in turn will determine the structure of the organization’s approach to corporate defense and the extent to which it is held in high regard.
