ABSTRACT

Crowdsourcing is the use of collective intelligence to solve problems in a costeffective way. Crowdsourcing means that a company or institution has outsourced a task, which used to be performed by employees, to another set of people (i.e., crowd) [89]. Certain tasks could, of course, be done by computers in a more effective way. Crowdsourcing focuses on tasks that are trivial for humans, such as image recognition or language translation, which continue to challenge computer programs. In addition, crowdsourcing is used to perform tasks that require human intelligence and creativity.
