ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT This chapter discusses a way to analyze population surveys. Concepts and techniques such as factor analysis, exploratory data analysis, nonparametric statistics, data cleansing, and hypothesis testing are covered. A case study of Afghanistan’s Helmand province is used to demonstrate the application of the methodology and its usefulness to an analyst. The objective of this chapter is to show a way of uncovering hidden information within survey data and a method to display those results to decision makers.
