ABSTRACT
Consistent advancements in fabrication techniques based on organic materials has motivated researchers to exploit various flexible substrates, such as paper, plastic, and fiber for low cost and lightweight flexible electronic applications. This chapter presents the recent advancements in the performance of OTFTs with a motive to present an overview of high-performance organic materials of individual OTFT layers, charge transport models, OTFT structures, performance parameters and their influencing factors, fabrication techniques, and some vital applications. An extensive literature review pertaining to issues of OTFTs and their circuit applications is presented in order to be aware of the timeline of the work being carried out as well as to understand the various technical gaps.
