ABSTRACT
In the last 10 years, the importance of stormwater as a source of water pollution has grown exponentially. Stormwater is now a major issue.
The responsibility for dealing with stormwater issues varies from community to community. In some places, it is the responsibility of city or county governments. Their Departments of Public Works handle stormwater. Some other areas, states, or counties have created special stormwater utilities, but in other areas, wastewater utilities have been called upon to deal with this issue.
