ABSTRACT

In addition to the already quoted definition of “Meat products” from Regulation (EC) 853/2004, Regulation (EC) No 882/2004, on official controls, provides relevant wide-ranging definitions. Further relevant definitions are provided in Regulation (EC) 178/2002 laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety (Anonymous 2002).
