ABSTRACT

Fracture Assessment Closed Salter II fracture of the distal femur, displaced caudally, not over-riding. Fractures of the distal femoral physis are most often Salter II fractures. These fractures should be operated soon after injury, as muscle contraction and fibrous tissue formation can make repair difficult if surgery is delayed longer than a few days.
