While security has been and will continue to be a key enterprise concern, the widespread focus on this single aspect has overshadowed the critically important economic and operational underpinnings of this new model. is unfortunate reality has skewed Cloud Computing training and education away from the business aspects, which are crucial to any successful enterprise transition. In his book, Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing, Joe Weinman (2012) provided a very concise treatment of these operational and economic aspects. e authors have relied heavily on this text as a reference for the following section as a thorough understanding of business linkages is fundamental to the development of practical and operationally acceptable security strategies and policies.
