ABSTRACT

This chapter describes sixth step of the systematic improvement planning (SIP) pattern: implementation plan of selected improvements and control. In this step, one will develop a schedule, do the installation, and follow up with an audit once the improvement is in place. The step stipulates the results audit to ensure that the benefits and savings are actually realized, as well as to give to management a measure of the value of the improvement efforts. As a result, if the desired total business target is not reached, according to the developed additional improvement recommendations, changes should be made on the improvement plan. In short, all the effort is directed to implementing new solutions effectively and gaining measurable and sustainable benefits. During the improvement planning process, feedback is provided using the information obtained as a result of control (monitoring and evaluation) activities.
