ABSTRACT
In this section we will briefly describe the evolution of chemical engineering (ChE) following the advice of Dwig Prater given to Jim Wei [1] on how to present a communication: “Tell them what you will tell them, then you tell them, and finally you tell them what you have just told them.” We start with the paradigms of ChE (unit operations and chemical engineering science movement) and finish with our view of today’s ChE.
