A customer wants a population of unidentified components to operate for 1500 h at room temperature. The average failure rate (Section 4.3) should satisfy 〈λ〉 ≤ 10,000 FITs. The components have a single failure mechanism. A vendor conducted aging at room temperature for 9 components. The failure times in hours are given in Table 13.1. The components for the customer will be drawn from the sequestered manufacturing lot that supplied the 9 aged components. Fail Times (h)
