ABSTRACT
Force and moments are some of the most important quantities measured in wind tunnels. The forces and moments acting on an aerodynamic body under the influence of external or internal flows can be steady or unsteady and are a function of a wide variety of conditions. The most typical approach toward the quantification of these loads is the use of balances. Additionally, techniques based on pressure or velocity measurements can also be used for the implicit derivation of aerodynamic forces.
