ABSTRACT
Dopamine (DA), serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine [5-HT]), and norepinephrine (NE) are important neurotransmitters in the human brain. These neurotransmitters activate postsynaptic and presynaptic receptors, and their concentration is regulated by active reuptake into presynaptic terminals by transporters.
