ABSTRACT
In recent years, “small area statistics” has emerged as a widely interested hot topic among politicians, academics, and policy makers throughout the developed and developing world. To develop effective policy on various crucial social, economic, and health issues at the regional or local level, policy makers need to use accurate data on those respective issues for small area levels. The small area estimation (SAE) techniques can produce such reliable estimates for small areas.
