This chapter discusses the lessons learned in the context of the campus microgrid research development and demonstration activities, which can be replicated in other broad-reaching applications microgrids. Achievements versus expectations, as well as unforeseen challenges, will be discussed using experiences from the campus microgrid. Moreover, the opportunities for leveraging these lessons in other microgrid contexts will be presented.
