ABSTRACT
Nothing quite so completely challenges the nerve, cunning, planning, and tenacity of crisis managers like non-man-made disasters. Mother Nature can surprise like no other and change direction like a dragony. While weather is becoming easier to predict, hurricanes in particular, earthquakes and wildres often strike out of nowhere. The following case study is one of many that the author could cite wherein the hubris of those who dare to test the fury of Mother Nature creates a fast-moving and very dangerous situation for employees, families, coworkers, and organizations.
