ABSTRACT

Drills and exercises have been the corporate mantra of many organizations for decades. For others, these are more recent occurrences due to regulating of various industries-such as when the US government began requiring or suggesting emergency and crisis drills for chemical and port facilities. Drills are often called for or mandated by US government agencies for US corporations operating within the United States. What is not regulated or required is such practices for organizations operating overseas. I cannot stress enough how critical it is for crisis management professionals to suggest and gain approval for plans and processes to be initiated for circumstances around the globe, which can quickly spiral out of control.
