Parting Thoughts

ByTiffany Pham, David K. Pham, Andrew T. Pham, Mitchell Fox, Larry Rothstein, Michael Weiner, Emily Simoness, Kiran Rijhsinghani

Congratulations on reaching the end of our book. Rather than letting you move ahead alone, here are some simple thoughts for reflection we would like to offer, in order to keep you company while you are on your way to a successful execution of your business strategy and IT roadmap.

Start anywhere, but at least start: Nothing will ever be perfect in a business environment. It is just a fact of life.

Do not blame the business executives: They are likely as eager as you are to attempt this endeavor.

Do not complain or whine; do not be part of the problem but part of the solution: View everything as an opportunity to learn and to achieve something meaningful. This is not only true at work, but also in life.

Refine and learn from the first cut of your roadmap: You may not be perfect when you first start, but after doing this for a short while, you will start to observe where you could eventually improve.

Find joy in creating something of value:You will feel happy going home knowing that you are doing something valuable for the organization and for yourself.
