Modern evaluation of basketball teams involves the use of performance indicators such as percentage of successful field goals, percentage of successful free-throws, number of assists, offensive and defensive rebounds, blocks and steals, etc (Oliver, 2004; Gomez et al., 2009; Lorenzo et al., 2010; Csataljay et al., 2012). These performance indicators are routinely collected and electronically available. In this chapter we use biclustering methods in order to detect local patterns among the performance indicators reported by the National Basketball Association (NBA).
