ABSTRACT
In terms of its content, statistical inference has two major branches, which are estimation and hypothesis testing. The topic of estimation can be further subdivided into point estimation and interval estimation. In this chapter we will briefly review some popular inference techniques in respect to some common parametric models and explain how these methods are useful to the analytics professional.
