ABSTRACT
In Chapter 5, we discussed in some detail the relationship betweenphase singularities and OAM. Though this relationship is not in general a simple one, we gained much physical insight by investigating it. In this chapter, we consider what may be learned from the power ow of electromagnetic elds, as characterized by the Poynting vector, and singularities associated with it.
