ABSTRACT

Traditional federated avionics architectures have the feature of the independent implement with dedicated avionics system resources (computing resources, software applications, sensors and effectors, etc.) (Watkins 2007).As the development of avionics, system integration degree enhances gradually. As a typical advanced avionics system, Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) provides a shared platform with a flexible and complex hardware and software architecture. Differences between the federated system architecture and the IMA system architecture are shown in figure 1.
