ABSTRACT

Marne la Vallée’s urbanization is currently fairly patchy and lacks real coherence: it includes blocks of tertiary buildings, social housing neighbourhoods, educational institutions and wooded areas. A long-term project is under study to organize and urbanize this territory. It comprises different phases spread over time. The first, very short-term stage has already delivered design studies. The decision was therefore made to apply the tools developed within the Chair to the project’s subsequent stages to feed into long-term thinking.
