ABSTRACT

Within this scenario, Solar Decathlon (SD) was created as an international competition among universities by the US Department of Energy [3-5]. During the competition, participating teams are required to design, build, and operate net zeroenergy solar houses that consume as few natural resources as possible and produce minimal waste during their lifecycles. The SD competition has been held in America every two years since 2002, and the European edition and Asian edition were started in 2006 and 2013, respectively [6].
