ABSTRACT

Many monographs, textbooks and scientific articles devoted to innovation and innovation management have been published lately. Despite the great abundance of publications the economic aspect of innovation hasn’t been fully considered and the value of the engineering work has been underestimated. The innovation activity is, first of all, work, which is embodied in the new goods (products and services). In the literature on innovation no distinction is made between the work of a businessman, entrepreneur, owner and the innovative activity of various categories of workers; the innovative work is not considered as a kind of complex, creative work, which is worthy of high remuneration. Today the importance of engineering work is underestimated.
