ABSTRACT

Jodie had arrived early. She had caught an earlier bus. She felt she had so much to talk about, and she sort of hoped that maybe she might get seen sooner, and perhaps have a longer session. It had been a good week; she had had a really good heart-to-heart with her mum who – she had been amazed – had listened and shown so much caring. By the time she had got back from the previous session, her anxieties had returned, and she had seen her mother in the front room with a magazine. She had gone in and said where she had been, and that she wanted to talk about something.
