ABSTRACT

In the last ten chapters the interviewees have generously told us something of what music means for each of them. This is not a scientific enquiry research project, nor are the reflections in this chapter psychotherapeutic case study ana lyses, so how might we understand something of what we have been told? Each account has been partly autobiographical and a personal history of how the experience of listening to music has been different for each of them at different periods of their lives.
