ABSTRACT
I am a 42-year-old African-American woman who lives and works in Ohio. I hold down two jobs to make a living. I am both a corrections officer and a beautician. Among other illness I have diabetes and high blood pressure. I’d like to tell you about some of experiences I’ve had with my health care. Let me begin by sharing some background concerning my relationship with my physician, a female general internist.
