ABSTRACT

It is important to consider the learning climate, that is, the envir­ onment in which learning occurs. If this climate is inappropriate it will undoubtedly influence the learning process, no matter how innovative or sound the method of delivery. How many of us as younger students remember being told by well-meaning parents that ‘We couldn’t possibly study with that racket going on.’ That racket referring to our particular choice in loud pop music. As a more mature learner, would you now echo the sentiment?
