ABSTRACT
Valvular heart disease is common. Diagnosis and management should be based on evaluation of symptoms, clinical examination and investigations. Patients are often asymptomatic or have modified their lifestyle to cope with slowly progressive symptoms. It is essential to consider endocarditis if there has been a rapid clinical change. A change in murmur should be investigated.
