ABSTRACT
About two thirds of cancer patients experience pain at some time during their illness. That means that about one third of cancer patients might not suffer significant pain. Of those who do have pain, it is sometimes not well controlled. This may be due to a number of factors, including the fact that some cancer pains are very hard to control, but sometimes it is because the doctor and nurse are not told about the pain.
