ABSTRACT
Competence is a central concept in all healthcare professions. In modern parlance the term 'capability' is being increasingly used in preference to competence. Every osteopath will know much of what is required and it is a matter of tailoring continuing professional development to ensure that any gaps in knowledge are plugged. GOsC has defined the CPD in two broad categories: personal learning and group learning. GOsC has the right to inspect the folder at any time. GOsC will in due course be issuing folders, using your subscriptions to fund them, but in the meantime the website document includes blank CPD forms that you can complete.
