ABSTRACT

Some institutions and companies have designed a standard banner for all their posters, complete with graphics, logos and specified fonts. Biomedical researchers may be required to use a standard banner to make the poster easily recognisable as coming from institution. If institution or sponsor requires a logo on poster, do not forget to add it. Institution or sponsor may have guidelines for the placement of the logo on the page; if so, follow them closely. Many suggest the top right-hand corner of the poster. Make sure that they have the latest version of the logo in a suitable format for use in PowerPoint and at a resolution suitable for printing and enlargement. The title will be in a large bold font at the top of poster. Too many words will result in a huge block of text, which will be difficult to read and will look overpowering on the design.
