Rehabilitation begins

At the beginning of June it was announced that there was a place ready for me at the local rehabilitation centre. There had been promises of a date for my transfer for some time, but owing to various problems with staffing levels this had repeatedly been deferred. This time, however, everything seemed to be in order and arrangements were made for me to go to the unit. It was now eleven weeks since the stroke.
