ABSTRACT
In line with this quote, we currently are seeing a very dynamic present. Things are evolving by the day in the technology space and the ones that are able to maintain an edge for themselves are not the ones that look just at the present but also plan for the future and incorporate them into the present. The present is always an exciting period of time. It has a strong connection with the past where one applies learnings from previous experiences. It sets the base for the future with the current planning that is taking up. In addition, it is the time for the current set of activities rolling out. We will look at software testing in the present in this chapter from a time period of around 2011 to about 2016. Besides the connection this period has with both the past and the future, the present today is very important to understand exhaustively. I say this because the entire software development industry is going through a very interesting phase. Changes that are paradigm and of large impact are occurring as we speak. These are redefining the IT industry’s positioning and penetration for the coming years and what we see are certainly indicative of the present paving way for a very exciting future.
