Orientation From a legal standpoint, before residents engage in clinical education they should be provided with an orientation to the office. This orientation should include the following areas.
1 Introduction to office staff. If the resident is to function safely in the office, he or she should be introduced to the staff and understand each staff member's responsibilities. The resident should know which staff members he or she is expected to interact with during the clinical experience.
