ABSTRACT

With regard to the first, there are two primary resources available to the preceptor in addition to the chapters in this book that deal with the topic. The first of these is the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM).1 On their website can be found Office-Based Teacher, which is an archive of articles address ing topics of interest to community preceptors, sponsoring organizations, students and residents. The STFM also has an online bookstore and sponsors national seminars of interest. Through the bookstore, modules for the Preceptor Education Project (PEP) are also available. These can be used either for independent self learning or within the context of locally provided seminars.
